Cards can have a magnetic stripe, barcodes and can be flat printed with names and/or numbers

Magnetic Stripe: Lo-Co (Low Coercivity) or Hi-Co (High Coercivity) 

Magnetic Stripe Tracks:  Most gift cards encode on Track 1 and/or Track 2

Barcodes: The most popular barcodes are Code 39 (3 of 9), Code 128, Codabar and UPCA

QR Codes can also be printed
